Sweep (Agricultural)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A Sweep is a farm implement designed to remove unwanted weeds and other grass from the center of row crops. Often used in small gardening/farming practices, a sweep can be anywhere from 1 to 5 rows wide.

[edit] Construction

Most sweeps have a 2 center "sweep" blades that cut the weeds from the roots near the base of the crop and turn over the dirt, while 2 back sweeps which are farther out then the center ones cut weeds in the center of the row.
