Sweden once more held a national preselection, Melodifestivalen 1993 to select an entry for the Eurovision Song Contest of the year. 1 569 entries were received by Sveriges Television, and 10 songs made it to the final. Juries then selected 5 songs to a second round. It was now revealed that the winner would be chosen by televoting, where the voters were split up into seven regions. Eloise with the group Arvingarna took maximum points from all regions. Their song was composed and written by Lasse Holm and Gert Lengstrand.
At the ESC, Sweden performed 13th. As the voting was over, they had finished 7th (out of 25) with 89 points.
