[edit] License tagging for Image:Sincer00.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Sincer00.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 16:11, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Sincer01.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Sincer01.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 15:14, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] AfD nomination of Don Snow aka Jonn Savannah

Don Snow aka Jonn Savannah, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Don Snow aka Jonn Savannah satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Don Snow aka Jonn Savannah and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Don Snow aka Jonn Savannah during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. [edit] Hanging On Too Long

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Hanging On Too Long, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. Hersfold (t/a/c) 17:45, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] CfD nomination of Category:Don Snow aka Jonn Savannah Songs

I have nominated Category:Don Snow aka Jonn Savannah Songs (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs) for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at the discussion page. Thank you. Hersfold (t/a/c) 17:52, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] High Life (Frankie Miller Album)

Please don't remove a context tag without actually providing context. An article should begin, "High Life is ..." Corvus cornix 02:58, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] ‎Valley Gardens (Wally album)

Wow, amazing. Sitting here doing some idle new page patrolling here comes a page on Wally! I was a teenager in Harrogate when they were making it big and it's really great to see the article. I can still remember every note! Good on ya. Kim Dent-Brown (Talk to me) 13:10, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of War Live (album)

A tag has been placed on War Live (album), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per speedy deletion criterion G11.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Jonathan BOO! 14:09, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

Hello. Concerning your contribution, The Balham Alligators (band), we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material without the permission of the author. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.mystrands.com/artist/3487/biography. As a copyright violation, The Balham Alligators (band) appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. However, for text content, you may want to consider rewriting the content in your own words. Thank you, and please feel free to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Corvus cornix 05:52, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Tour categories

Please note, tour categories do not need to be created unless an artist has articles on at least two tours, preferably three. Thus, creating Category:David Bowie tours is good, creating Category:A*Teens tours, Category:Take That tours, etc. is not so good. Wasted Time R (talk) 03:03, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Sincer02.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Sincer02.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 21:04, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Producers

Would you create category "Albums produced by John Cale"?

[edit] CfD nomination of Category:Albums produced by Bryan Adams

Category:Albums produced by Bryan Adams, which you created, has been nominated for deletion, merging, or renaming. If you would like to participate in the discussion, you are invited to add your comments at the category's entry on the Categories for discussion page. Thank you. – He seems to only have produced his own albums, which makes this a redundant category of Category:Bryan Adams albums. Wolfer68 (talk) 08:07, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

I have nominated Category:Albums produced by Rick Rock (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs) for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at the discussion page. Thank you. Tasc0 It's a zero! 23:09, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] "Albums produced by ____" categories

I appreciate your creation of "Albums produced by _______" categories. However, I would ask that you please not do it for producers that don't have their own pages; making categories for red linked people is usually not a good idea (that's why I nominated Category:Albums produced by James Stroud for deletion).
