I recently completed a legal internship for the Wikimedia Foundation, and am a member of the Communications Committee, an OTRS representative on the legal queue, and an English Wikipedia administrator. I also edit Wikiversity, Meta, Wikimedia Commons, OTRS Coordination Wiki, Wikimedia Foundation Wiki, and sometimes Wikisource. I attend law school at American University Washington College of Law, in Tenleytown, Washington, DC. I currently do veterans advocacy work as a director for the Iraq War Veterans Organization. I'm also a member of the American Bar Association's Special Committee on Computer Gaming and Virtual Worlds.

I maintain a blog about the law, law school, law firms, Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects, called May It Please The Court, and a mirror called Wiki-lawyer.net.

As of 12 September 2007, I am ranked 1335 of all Wikipedians by number of edits, with nearly 12500 edits spread across approximately 5000 unique pages.

United States Army veteran. Tour in Operation Iraqi Freedom, tour in Operation Enduring Freedom. I started my service as a rifleman, then a radio telephone operator, and then a automatic gunner in an infantry battalion. My battalion was attached/OPCON to several larger units: 1st Armored Division, 3rd Infantry Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force, 5th Special Forces Group, and a few others. Finished my service in the same unit as I started, except it had reclassified from an infantry company to a RSTA (Reconnaissance, Surveillance, Target Acquisition) cavalry squadron. However, my company remained an infantry company (instead of changing to a cavalry troop), as we were the squadron's reconnaissance scouts. I ended my service as a regular recon scout, using the M4 carbine.

I like to edit military, law enforcement, and firearms related articles. To a large degree, they are free from the nationalism and polemic vitriol that plague other articles. Guns are guns. They are extremely neutral. They don't hold a bias either way: they're either well made, or not. What people do with them, is a whole different subject, that I try to stay out of.

My current weapons array consists of:

• Sig Sauer P228 in 9mm.
• Kimber Custom TLE/RL II in .45 ACP, with Crimson Trace lasergrips.
• Glock 20C in 10mm Auto.
• Kahr K9 in 9mm.
• M24 SWS in .308, though technically it is a modified Remington Arms Model 700 rifle with Leupold Mark IV LR/T 3.5-10x40mm scope.
• CAV-15 from Cavalry Arms, in .223, customized (image: [1]). I am hunting down a good price on an Trijicon ACOG TA-31 scope for it.
• XM25 Sniper Rifle project modified from M1A rifle.

My newest project is going to be:

• Creation of a XM25 sniper rifle, a variation of the M21 sniper rifle. I am modifying a Springfield Armory SOCOM M1A rifle, in .308.
• Building special purpose rifles from AR-15 upper and lower receivers, and completes.

Useful thoughts

• Treat the admins with deference and respect. Through the RFA process, they basically pass a peer-review of their knowledge on policy. That means they likely understand it better than you do. So give them a bit of deference.

• Don't revert OTRS actions. While they have no more power than any other admin, they a) have had trust placed in them from the foundation to handle sensitive information (including identifying themselves personally to the foundation) b) have access to information you don't, c) in the case of the legal queues, have significantly more information, d) generally are responding to a complaint from the subject, or another interested party, meaning the removed information is controversial anyway. Just don't mess with it: Wikipedia is not THAT important that your information NEEDS to be there Right Now™

• Don't take an on-wiki dispute to a blog or other website, and present your version of events as "The Truth™". Especially don't do it and make smartass comments, call people racist names, and generally portray yourself as an internet tough guy. The number 1 best rule to not be a dick on the internet, is never post anything you wouldn't say to someone's face.
