Greetings! I'm Stephen W. Adair, an American Wikipedian residing in Raleigh, North Carolina. I currently work in hospital security and am also a former U.S. paratrooper. I discovered Wikipedia on 12 MAR 2004 and was instantly hooked. As you can tell from my quick links near the top of my user page, most of my WP time is spent tracking vandalism and newcomer tests. Adminship: I am a former administrator, one who requested voluntary self-revocation for security reasons once I realized that I would not be able to remain as active as I would have liked. I became an administrator on 02 NOV 2004, but about a year later real life had begun to consume so much of my time that I began spending less and less time editing Wikipedia. Finally, on 02 DEC 2005, I requested that my account have its admin status revoked. There was no reason other than security for my decision. You can read my explanation here.
