[edit] Cite for "prettiest railway station"

This was one of the first big edits I made when I was a very new Wikipedia editor, and I wasn't too familiar with all the policies, particlularly WP:NOR. The information came from local people, but I must admit I haven't seen it written anywhere, so it should probably be removed. The "prettiest railway station" competition ran back in the days of the nationalised British Rail, and I expect it would be difficult to find any records to it surviving. I have to be honest. Swaythling railway station is not pretty Supposed (talk) 17:02, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Merge

I am against the proposed merge of articles suggested it would cause a loss of information in many cases and an overloading of the main page. Notably a similar set of proposals was made by an anonymous user to disrupt the Portsmouth page and those of its schools information is here and also here -- Drappel 21:59, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

  • Against the merge. There's a policy that says all places are notable. Adam McCormick 01:27, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
