The town of Swanton is located in Garrett county. The town has a population of 567 people according to the 2000 census. The town's main street consists of a famous store called the Swanton mall. It is famous for its chili sauce for hot dogs. Also there is a church, a antique store and a post office. A stream also runs past main street in Swanton.
