[edit] Age of "Godiva's Hymn"?
Hi! There's a discussion on at the talk page for Godiva's Hymn about the claim that the song has been around since at least 1921. Looking through the article's history, it looks like you added that information. Do you remember where you found this information? It would be pretty neat to source this article better. --07:38, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Godiva's Hymn
- My main reason for proposing deletion is that Wikipedia is not a lyrics depository. In addition, almost all the claims made on the page are unverifiable, finally as a side reason, IMO, the whole topic is unencyclopedic and not notable. Please don't take offense to this personally as the main contributor, it has nothing to do with your edits, it's simply the topic itself. Thanks. -- pm_shef 03:17, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

- Absolutely I do, and I think that the fact that you were able to delete those unencylopedic parts simply shows that you are an upstanding editor. There are a lot of people on here who could learn that lesson! The article as it stands now seems fine to me. -- pm_shef 16:22, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Can you help me with "Godiva's Hymn" ?
Hello, my name is John Patrick. I am a folklorist interested in talking with people that know "Godiva's Hymn" (aka the Engineer's Drinking Song). Do you know a version of the song? If yes, would you be willing to do a telephone interview about the song for folklore purposes? You can be anonymous if you like.
Please advise.
