Sveti Rok Tunnel

The Sveti Rok Tunnel is a highway tunnel in Lika, Croatia. It is 5,687 m (6,219 yd) long[citation needed] and it passes through the Velebit mountain between the villages Sveti Rok and Posedarje. It forms a part of the A1 highway from Zagreb to Ĺ estanovac.

While the western shaft of the tunnel was opened in 2003, the eastern shaft is as of 2008 still unfinished. It is planned to be completed in 2009, turning Sveti Rok into the longest four-lane tunnel in Croatia upholding to the highway standards.
