Sverre Årnes

Sverre Årnes (b. 1949) is a Norwegian novelist. His work includes the Vaterlandsjenta series (16 books). All together he has written more than hundred novels, some thousand short stories, several comic script (inkluded for "the Phantom" and "Agent 007". Among his serial novels: "Viking" (Vikings), "Blodsbånd" (Blood Ties, published from 1993, and 2004), "Cobra", and "Vaterlandsjenta" (the Girl from Vaterland"). He initiated and wrote the script to the popular comic magazine "Olsenbanden", based on the characters from a renown movie serial. Also he has written and directed prize winning short movies, and the script for one full feature ("Blucher", 1988). Prizes: "Daily Mail Trophy" London, 1986 (writer and director), gold medal in the Eurovideo Movie Competition in Austria, 2004 (writer, director, and editor).
