Sven Harvey

Sven Harvey (born in Birmingham in 1975) is a freelance writer, and avid science fiction and computer enthusiast.

His work currently includes the regular Amiga column (Amiga Mart) for Micro Mart which he has been writing since 1999.
Previous writing includes articles on TransFormers for Model & Collectors Mart and Area 51 Magazines. Recent work includes a TransFormers piece in Model and Collector Marts replacement, Tv Film Memorabilia Magazine. Further science fiction, fantasy and computing journalism by this author can be found on the web, mainly at Infinite Frontiers and he has had many pieces published in various fanzines. Sven is also the managing editor of the Infinite Frontiers fanzine, The Cybertronian Times, produced, primarily, for the Auto Assembly conventions.

Sven is the joint head of the science fiction organisation Infinite Frontiers and is the joint organiser of Europe's largest TransFormers convention Auto Assembly, which raises money primarily for children's charities, alongside Simon Plumbe. Sven devised the convention in 2000. Sven and Simon co-host the Auto Assembly podcast, to favourable reviews. Following this and a limited number of TV, video Podcast, commercial DVD and corporate video appearances and work there-on, Sven is currently investigating the possibility of developing these media interests.

Born in May 1975 in Edgbaston, Birmingham, Sven attended King Edward VI Five Ways Grammar school for Boys between 1986 and 1993, and then attended Aston University. Following university Sven went on to be a successful retailer (management and buyer) of Video Games for companies such as Electronics Boutique UK (now GAME) and HMV up until 2003, with a failed attempt to go it alone centered around the AmigaOne.
