Posthumous portrait of the schoolboy Svante Wijkman, who died in 1837. The portrait was made on behalf of his mother shortly after his death and donated together with a scholarship fund to Uplands nation in Uppsala. It is hanging in the Wijkman room of the nation and has been the object of much speculation and local lore and has given name to a number of things within the nation.
