The reference to Hero Brown's profile on Handbag.com is incomplete: it simply takes you to Handbag.com and no further. I cannot find any link to this profile anywhere.
If this source can't be verified, it should be deleted.

[edit] "...her signature pompadour"
The photo presently on the page doesn't show Menkes' "signature pompadour" hairstyle. (It's clearly visible in the photo appearing in advertisements in the print edition of the International Herald Tribune.)
