Talk:Suzuki group

Scott Tillinghast, Houston TX 00:42, 17 July 2006 (UTC) I would like to see this page converted to a page on the infinite family of groups of Lie type that Suzuki discovered in 1960. It could include a note about the Suzuki sporadic group. I was once having coffee with a guy and mentioned Suzuki groups. He went to a computer and did a search but found only the sporadic group. The infinite family attracted some publicity in 1960 because these groups were the first (and only) cases of finite non-abelian simple groups with order not divisible by 3.
