Talk:Suzie Q (disambiguation)

[edit] Suzy Q (1999 Dutch film)

In this edit, the title of the 1996 American film Susie Q was changed to Suzy Q. In the same edit, the link to the 1999 Dutch film Suzy Q (the one in which Carice van Houten plays her first leading role), was removed.

The title of the American film was subsequently corrected, but the 1999 film Suzy Q is still not present. Is there a specific reason why that film was removed? In other words: can I put the film back in the list, or will it be removed again? I wouldn't want to get into an edit war. Johan Lont (talk) 11:11, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Do we have an article on the 1999 Dutch film? I couldn't find one. The link in the Carice van Houten to "Suzy Q (film)" was pointing off to nowhere before January 7, when Creamy3 made the mistitled Suzy Q article for the Disney Channel movie Susie Q (which is now fixed). I've just removed the links to Suzy Q in the van Houten article because they're currently wrong.
The article at Suzy Q (film) probably should be changed from the redirect to Susie Q to an article about the Dutch film, if anybody's willing to write it. Once that's done, then the Suzy Q (film) article should be listed in this disambiguation -- but until then, if we put it in, it's just two links for the same Disney Channel Susie Q movie article. -- ArglebargleIV (talk) 13:41, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
Okay. Thank you for your reply. I don't feel capable to write that article on the Suzy Q film with Carice van Houten, so I will leave it at that, for now. I wasn't aware of the exact policies for disambiguation pages, or for making links to article that do not yet exist.
I thought it was a good idea to choose a title for that film and list it on the disambiguation page, so that people that want to refer to that subject can find out what title to use. Otherwise, when somebody writes the article people may have chosen already different titles, for example George Washington Bush, George W. Bush (born 1779) or George W. Bush (settler) (that is a theoretical example, because George Washington Bush already exists).
Anyway, it seems to be okay now. Johan Lont (talk) 14:29, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
I think I can probably write a stub for it, I'll take a look at it sometime today. -- ArglebargleIV (talk) 15:39, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
