Suzzanne Douglass (born April 12, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American film and television actress, best known for her role as matriarch Jerri Peterson in the television sitcom The Parent Hood. Douglass has had starring roles in several motion pictures as well, among them Tap, The Inkwell, Jason's Lyric, and How Stella Got Her Groove Back. She also had guest appearance roles in sitcoms such as The Cosby Show and The Parkers. She also was an extra in School of Rock. She is an honorary member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Married to Dr. Roy Jonathan Cobb, an anesthesiologist from New Jersey, Douglass has one daughter named Jordan.
