Suzuki fr80
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Suzuki FR80 is a scooter, very similar to the Yamaha Townmate and the Honda C90 and was produced by Suzuki from the early to late 1970s.
It is powered by a 80cc, 2 stroke, air cooled engine which incorporated a self mixing system so it had a separate 2 stroke oil tank and petrol tank. It is started by a kick start mechanism which turns over the engine. It had a small battery fitted and an ignition switch to provide easy starting and for constant and even power to the lights and horn.
The engine drives a 3 speed semi automatic gearbox, with a heel and toe gear shift.
It was capable of carrying a rider and a passenger and could propel them up to between 35mph and 40mph, making it quite a speedy machine compared to some small mopeds.
