Suzie K. Heffernan (born April 22, 1986) is a beauty queen from Corcoran, Minnesota who competed in the Miss USA pageant in 2007.
Heffernan won the Miss South Dakota USA 2007 title in a state pageant held in Watertown, South Dakota on November 12 2006. It was her second attempt at a Miss USA state title, as she placed second runner-up to Dottie Cannon in the Miss Minnesota USA 2006 pageant the previous year. Her sister titleholder is Kari Schull, Miss South Dakota Teen USA 2007. Heffernan competed in the Miss USA 2007 pageant which was broadcast live from the Kodak Theatre in 2007. She attempted to be the first delegate from South Dakota to place in the pageant since 1974.
Heffernan is only the third Miss South Dakota USA to come from Brookings, where she is a psychology major at South Dakota State University.[1] The most recent was Jessica Lawrence, who held the 2003 title. Heffernan graduated from Minnesota's Delano High School in 2004.[2]
