Suzanne Cory

Suzanne Cory AC, FAA, FRS (b. March 11, 1942) is an Australian biologist.
She is the current director of the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research (WEHI), joint head (with her husband, Professor Jerry Adams), of the Molecular Genetics of Cancer Division at this institute, and Professor of Medical Biology at the University of Melbourne. She was awarded a L'Oréal-UNESCO Award for Women in Science in 2001 and the Royal Medal of the Royal Society in 2002.
Biomedical research has been Suzanne Cory's passion in every sense. She has worked to decode the genetic mysteries of the immune system and cancer, has rallied her country to invest in its scientific future, and is married to a fellow scientist from her post-doctoral years.
