[edit] Merger proposal
I suggest this article should be merged with Suture (anatomical), in which this article and the existing "Cephalopods" section would then become parts of a "Molluscs" section. Philcha (talk) 14:01, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
- That sounds perhaps not entirely unreasonable to me, as long as it would be done well. The intro sentence to the Suture (anatomical) would have to be changed quite a bit however, because sutures on gastropod shells are specifically where two hard parts meet where the whorls overlap. - I understand your desire to get the gastropod-related content right. The intro of Suture (anatomical) is meant to be generalised so that Suture (anatomical) can be extended to cover any relevant phylum or sub-phylum, etc. and all relevant materials from which hard parts are made. So I suggest the point about whorls should be part of a "Gastropods" section, with whorls emphasised as necessary to make the point. Philcha (talk) 00:33, 28 December 2007 (UTC)

- Could the many existing links to this Gastropod article be redirected to the 'gastropods' section of the Anatomical article? GrahamBould (talk) 08:03, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
