[edit] Sutherland suburb, vs Sutherland Shire

Many parts of the history section, such as when the municipality was declared, seem to relate to the Sutherland Shire, rather than the Sutherland suburb. Was the suburb name, really declared at the same time as the municipality. Unless this can be verified, and reference, I think we should remove the reference to the municipality being declared from this article. --Inas66 (talk) 03:40, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

In the early days, there wasn't a distinction between municipality and suburb. The information relates to the suburb and should stay. I have added a reference to Sutherland Shire place names that features this information for the suburb of Sutherland. J Bar (talk) 07:38, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
