Susan Garrett is a Democratic member of the Illinois Senate, representing the 29th District since 2003. The district includes all or parts of Bannockburn, Deerfield, Des Plaines, Fort Sheridan, Glencoe, Glenview, Highland Park, Highwood, Knollwood, Lake Bluff, Lake Forest, Mount Prospect, Niles, Northbrook, Park Ridge, Prospect Heights and Riverwoods. Prior to that she was a member of the Illinois House of Representatives, representing the 59th District for four years.
Garrett lives in Lake Forest with her husband Scott and children Brett and Elizabeth. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Lake Forest College.
