[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Guy Murchie-headshot.jpeg
Thanks for uploading Image:Guy Murchie-headshot.jpeg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Digital Robocop Management
Would you mind citing a source where someone gives Robocop as an example of Digital Rights Management? AlistairMcMillan 03:01, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hirooka Hajime
It was deleted because IMO it didn't demonstrate notability. Is there any independent source on this man? CanadianCaesar Et tu, Brute? 23:01, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
- Recreating the article is not going to help you. I've marked it as speedy since it was recreation of previously deleted material. Discuss it with CanadianCaesar before reposting it again. Danny Lilithborne 01:05, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
- I did send him a message, since he was so quick on the draw to delete -- literally right in the middle of my editing / filling out the article. I got one sentence in for less than a few minutes before it was deleted. So develop an AfD if you're going to argue the tenuous "not notable" assertion (which, as an Inclusionist, I personally find quite silly). However, if you're looking for independent verification:

- IIRC, he's also listed in the Lonely Planet travel guide series, issue for Japan / Kyoto.

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Ghost in the Shell Manga - Total Cyborg.jpeg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Ghost in the Shell Manga - Total Cyborg.jpeg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Claudia Mitchell - first thought-controlled prosthetic limb.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Claudia Mitchell - first thought-controlled prosthetic limb.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use.
Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --uǝʌǝsʎʇɹnoɟʇs(st47) 00:38, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Homo scientia
Another editor has added the "{{prod}}
" template to the article Homo scientia, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}}
template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. BJBot (talk) 00:59, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Non-free use disputed for Image:RoboCop - Directive 4 DRM.png
Thanks for uploading Image:RoboCop - Directive 4 DRM.png. Unfortunately, I think that you have not provided a proper rationale for using this image under "fair use". Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page. Note that the image description page must include the exact name or a link to each article the image is used in and a separate rationale for each one. (If a link is used, automated processes may improperly add the related tag to the image. Please change the fair use template to refer to the exact name, if you see this warning.)
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted after seven days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.Guest9999 (talk) 21:26, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:BlueMarine Photo Viewer and Loupe.jpeg
Thanks for uploading Image:BlueMarine Photo Viewer and Loupe.jpeg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.
Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 08:38, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
