[edit] "Contestants" and "The game" tables

As there are tables like those in every Survivor season article in the English Wikipedia, there's no reason for deleting them, please stop deleting them again and again. If you have a good reason for deleting them, just add it to the discussion page. RaLo18 (talk) 17:18, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

The discussion, as I believe you know, is held in the discussion page of the hebrew article. There is no need to split it and discuss the same things in two places. Ybk33 (talk) 21:33, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
There's no connection to the discussion in the Hebrew Wikipedia. The English Wikipedia was always "less encyclopedic" than the other Wikipedias, and as I said, the tables appear in every Survivor season article in the English Wikipedia, so there's no reason for deleting them from this page because of the discussion in the Hebrew Wikipedia. Thanks, and please don't delete those tables again. RaLo18 (talk) 05:23, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
There is a connection (as the interwiki link shows us), and it is an absurd it will exist here and not in the hebrew wiki. Staying in other places does not justifying staying here. If you have concrete reasons - mention them. Please do not return those tables again. Ybk33 (talk) 06:09, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
Indeed it is absurd it exists here and not in the hebrew as it should appear in both versions but for some reason people think it does not intrest readers. As a fact, most people use the wiki information to get the bare facts about who got voted off by who and who were the contestants. These tables should be here as well as in the Hebrew version and you should stop deleting them, especially without any kind of vote on the subject. PeaceKeeper (PeaceKeeper) 10:09, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
In addition, it's even more absurd this tables will appear in every other Survivor season article, and not in this. RaLo18 (talk) 13:35, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
As you wish. If you like your wikipedia like this (and this is far away from encyclopedia), enjoy yourself. I could sign under different names too, but I find it ugly. 132.66.84.57 (talk) 14:33, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
First of all, don't blame us doing something we don't, because I have no idea who "PeaceKeeper" is, the fact we agree about something doesn't mean we're the same person. Second of all, don't make any comparison to the Hebrew Wikipedia, because you can see a lot of "Non-Encyclopedic" articles in the English Wikipedia, and non in the Hebrew one. If you want to make the English Wikipedia more encyclopedic, you should make a very big change. RaLo18 (talk) 17:58, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
It's good you realize this content is not encyclopedic, but strange you do not act accordingly and remove it promptly. Such trifles do not belong in any encyclopedia article, in any language. I'm sure, however, they'd fit many tabloids, and that's where they belong. Needs to be removed per WP:NOT and WP:TRIV. Odedee (talk) 07:17, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
Since those tables appear in every Survivor's season article in the English Wikipedia, and no-one ever said they should be removed, I don't think those tables should be removed from this article. If you think it should be removed, you should remove it from every Survivor's season article.RaLo18 (talk) 17:42, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
I fail to see the problem here. These tables are brief, informative and common to all reality shows in wikipedia. Refer to American Idol [1], The Amazing Race[2] or The Apprentice [3]. Drost (talk) 09:38, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Translation - regarding Death Island

The direct translation of the Hebrew term אי המתים should be "Island of the Dead" and not "Death Island". It also sound better in my opinion. Wondering whether anybody disagrees with this? Drost (talk) 08:07, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Since nobody posed any objection, the term has been changed. Drost (talk) 09:59, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Dividing the "Voting history" table

Do you think the "Voting history" table should be divided to "Before the merge" and "After the merge"? I think that if it'll stay one table, it'll get too big, and the page will only get wider and wider. RaLo18 14:27, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

I think we're good on the current table. I made some changes to it in order to save space that I believe should hold for the remainder of the game. If not, we can always use a smaller font for it.Drost (talk) 10:05, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Rewards details

First of all congratulations ! This page looks very impressive and comprehensive, as other survivor's pages in wikipedia, and it is very noticeable that a lot of time and effort have been invested in here. This is why I have a suggestion that would possibly make this article even more full and comprehensive: put a footnote near every reward challenge, and write what was won exactly. What do you think ?
--VirtuOZ (talk) 00:43, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

I like the idea, but does someone know all of the rewards given?RaLo18 21:54, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
Now that I'm looking at it, it seems that I had forgotten to write everything that I was intended to. In addition to what I had already written, if we really (really!) want to make this article #1 and fully comprehensive, maybe we should also specify what missions and challenges were, and what were the scores in each one - That would beat the american survivors articles, that do not mention this kind of information. I personally, find the bizar missions information very interesting.
--VirtuOZ (talk) 02:12, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
I think keeping scores on all missions might be a bit of an overkill but I like the idea of supplying notes regarding the challenges and the rewards. We should also add more elimination notes and notes regarding the latest change in the individual challenge (winning the right to deny the votes of 2 tribe members). Drost (talk) 10:22, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Criticism

Isn't there a need for a Criticism section given all the recent backlash against the intervention of the production in the game? For example: http://www.ynet.co.il/articles/0,7340,L-3504825,00.html which includes some criticism as well as about 600 talkbacks, many containing criticism. 89.139.174.95 (talk) 19:03, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

I agree. Drost (talk) 08:39, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
I summarized some of the criticism in the introduction. I think it should be extended into a separate section with added citations. 217.132.137.35 (talk) 12:04, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Update

Is someone keeping the page updated? As a non-reader of Arabic/Hebrew or whatever language the sources are in (sorry if I offend, I actually can't tell the difference) I cannot post new information onto this page. -- THE DARK LORD TROMBONATOR 00:24, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

The article is updated (someone even guessed the results of the final, but I deleted it)RaLo18 20:33, 27 April 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by RaLo18 (talkcontribs)
