[edit] nin.mpg and windows XP

The cd-single on digipak contains autorun-shit and the video-containing file "nin.mpg". This file isn't playable under windows XP media player/winamp. Are you others are experiencing technical problems with this configuration with it or am I the only one?

[edit] Interscope, Nothing

Since Nothing Records is apparently defunct, could someone clarify whether this single will be classed a Nothing release, as it is in the infobox here? --DaveR 03:10, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

John Malm is being a bitch and forcing TR to slap nothing on everything he releases.... also wasnt kroq the first station to play it on FEB 14th
They played it on Feb 16 according to The NIN Hotline. See also Talk:Year Zero (album)#First radio play? Pomte 00:52, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fake album cover

Wikipedia is not the place for fan-works. The fake cover was removed pending the release of a real cover.

[edit] Track Listing?

Remixs? B-Sides? Any word on any of that?

[edit] North America Release Date

Any word on any of that?

North America will not be getting a CD release of the single, which I believe is stated on the official nin.com website. CD singles are not generally marketted any more in America. I believe the song is available on iTunes to download though.

[edit] Music Video

What does it say on the door the swat team knocks down i'am 90 % sure it says REVIR 3-4. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by EonOmega (talkcontribs) 23:46, 10 March 2007 (UTC).

REV 18:3-4, most likely referring to the Book of Revalation(s?) chapter18, verses 3 and 4. -Heroicraptor 09:33, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

Who directed the video?

I'd guess Trent. -Heroicraptor 09:33, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

Revelation 18:3-4: [about the fallen nation of Babylon, very important] 3"For all the nations have drunk the maddening wine of her adulteries. The kings of the earth committed adultery with her, and the merchants of the earth grew rich from her excessive luxuries." 4Then I heard another voice from heaven say: "Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sin, so that you will not receive any of her plagues;" So I'm pretty positive it's NOT REVIB 3-4, but DEFINITELY, considering the political nature of the upcoming album, a statement about the religion and practice of the current US government. [edit] Overdosing?

Is the part with the "couple" really a man looking after his wife after overdosing? It seems as if she is sitting there waiting for him to arrive, and then he gives her Opal, by dropping it into her eye. It follows with how Opal is used... shadowkhas 23:31, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

It looked like Drug use to me. Here's what I saw:
  • A woman appling makeup.
  • A couple watching TV. (With the Jesus picture)
  • A couple have sex. (Apparently homosexual, for the record)
  • NIN playing and the SWAT team, of course
  • A man on his computer (?)
If it's correct and pertinent, go ahead and add it.--Nog64 22:57, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
See this version for excessive details in the video. –Pomte 23:16, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Another NIN hint website? INMATE #4382BX12

has anybody ever googled INMATE #4382BX12, from http://www.thewaterturnedtoblood.net/? i stumbled upon this other web site, exactly like NIN's hint pages.. it has the same layout and everything, and features a conversation between the inmate and a certain ' Dr.Gantry ', a Psychological Evaluation from the Boston police (presumably over the inmate), a boston newspaper report over some red flood, and the addendum itself, dated 2/9/0000 .. if anyone has any trouble ready the page, just click on it and hit CTRL + A.. that's what i did. i have to admit, the page source is equally weird..

The Newspaper speaks of a Northern, red tide that has flooded the city of Boston. the reddish color being the cause of a rapidly growing number of algae. it has a weird stench, but is not harmful.. anyways, some weird stuff, i'd check it out and add some info on the wiki page, if i didn't have so much school or if i knew how.

[edit] That inmate thing i just posted

Forgot to mention, checking out http://www.judsonogram.net/ would be worth it too, it seems to be the main page of the correctional facility in which INMATE #4382BX12 would be held.. once again, it's style and layout conforms with the other weird NIN hint pages. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 209.29.10.210 (talk) 18:05, 17 April 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Survivalism Music Video.png

Image:Survivalism Music Video.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
