I've been told that it was this decision that the court stated that it was almost never appropriate to extradite people to a country where they may be tortured. The "almost", I am told, has been been milked heavily by the government and has become a contentious point. I think it may be something worth looking into. --PullUpYourSocks 15:34, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
- The same goes, I imagine, with United States v. Burns, which found that in certain circumstances, which the Court declined to speculate on, the death penalty would be OK. Highly probable there will be future "landmark" Supreme Court cases on these. CanadianCaesar Et tu, Brute? 22:57, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
