Suryaraopeta is a census town in East Godavari district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.

As of 2001 India census[1], Suryaraopeta had a population of 19,175. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. Suryaraopeta has an average literacy rate of 76%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 80%, and female literacy is 72%.
