The Surrey Elite Intermediate League is a new regional English football league due to commence in 2008-09. It will be comprised mostly of teams in Surrey, but is not restricted to that county. It sits at Step 7 of the National League System (or level 11 of the overall English football league system)[citation needed].
The new league is intended to bridge the gap between local intermediate leagues (particularly the Surrey County Intermediate League (Western) and the Surrey South Eastern Combination), and the lower division of the Combined Counties League.
Clubs that are 'recommended admissions' for the new league are:
- from Surrey South Eastern Combination - Battersea Ironsides, Croydon Greenside, Epsom Eagles, Esher Athletic and Woodmansterne Hyde.
- from Surrey County Intermediate League (Western) - Elm Grove, Eversley, Horsley, Liphook United, Milford & Witley and Old Rustlishians.
- from Crawley and District Football League Premier Division - Holland Sports and Reigate Priory.
- from Combined Counties Football League Division One - Tongham
- from Middlesex County Football League Premier Division - Bedfont Sports[1]
