"Surrender" is a song by the Electric Light Orchestra, and was released as a bonus track on the 2006 remastered version of their 1976 studio album A New World Record.
Originally the track was written in '76 for a film that was eventually cancelled[1]. In 2006 Jeff Lynne finished the song and included it in the remastered version of the album A New World Record. The song became the band's first new single release in twenty years and the first download from the band available on the iTunes Store. Eventually charting at #81 in the UK Singles Chart, "Surrender" was the band's first song to chart since "Getting to the Point".
