Surra, Kuwait

Surra is a residential district located in Kuwait. It is located west of Jabriya and east of Qurtoba. It has six block and is considered to be the residential area of Kuwaiti baby boomers. It contains one large 24 hour Co-op ( that is not always open 24 hours ) and has a bridge that crosses the highway over to Jabriya. Surra comes from the Arabic word Sur, which is the belly button because of its central location. The roundabouts usually have banak sellers.
There are Three major roads in Surra. "Al-Surra Road" & "Ali Bin Abi Taleb Road" crosses Surra from 4th Ring to 5th Ring roads, while "Tariq Bin Ziad Road" crosses Surra from "Damascus Road" and intersects both "Al-Surra" & "Ali Bin Abi Taleb" in roundabouts and finally crosses the highway over to Jabriya.
