Suri
- is a persian word and means red flower or fire-like flower. Often it is also used as first name or surname in central Asia, Iran and India.
- In Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Tajikistan and also in cultural persinated states of central Asia like Uzbekistan it is also the name of a persian banquet at birth, circumcision, and wedding. So, Suri in Persian is much more commonly interpreted as a celebration, joyful gathering or festivity.
