Surajmal Memorial Education Society New Delhi was established in the year 1972 with the objective of providing educational opportunities to the rural youths and to discover and preserve the historical heritage of the rural communities with particular reference to the peasants of North and North-West India.

For the fulfillment of its objectives, the Society has established a chain of its Institutes in Maharaja Surajmal Campus at C-4, Janak Puri, New Delhi. The sprawling campus of eight acres has magnificent building for imparting education in the fields of Technology, Pharmacy, Teacher Education, Management and Computer Science. One of important organs of the Society, Maharaja Surajmal Centre for Research and Publication has been undertaking the collection, preservation and publication of material on rural heritage. The educational complex of the Society has a rich library and a beautiful hostel building having accommodation for housing more than two hundred students and guest rooms for research scholars.
