[edit] User talk:Johnnytampa
The best thing to do in these cases is to leave a warning directly on the offending user's talk page, as I have done. (There's a handy list of templates at Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace.) I see that someone else has given him a final warning, so if he does it again, I'll probably block indefinitely. If users spam or vandalize past their final warning, you can report it to WP:AIV for an administrator to look at. Grandmasterka 20:33, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for your help in eradicating this spammer and reverting his spam.
FWIW, note the same Tampa, FL PO Box: [1] [2] Gee, Johnnytampa, I wonder... (some people make it too easy)
This one looks like someone different however: [3]. That one does not appear to be a for-profit site but rather an informational/advocacy site only. --Mud4t 23:08, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] User SuperKevBo
Dear superkevbo. You must stop adding links to your commercial website "Condom Man dot com". You have your competitors banned from WIKIPEDIA (see user JohnnyTampa) for adding links to their commercial websites. You have a problem with "Condom DEPOT dot com" sharing links with you on WIKI??? Yet for some reason you think it is fair to have links to your commercial website.
NEITHER IS RIGHT AND BOTH ARE VIOLATIONS OF WIKI POLICY.
The fact that you post all types of negative comments about user "JohnnyTampa" all the while you are doing exactly the same thing! I find this very odd. Take your issues up in other ways... not by compromising and wasting the time of Wikipedia's mods !!!!

[edit] SuperKevBo
Wikipedia is not a source to gain Google Page Rank. The Moderators of WIKI MUST stop this practice. "JohnnyTampa" Attempted it and you are currently doing it and removing inks to any and all of your competitors. On the SEX TOY entries, user "JohnnyTampa" did add good content and linked it to his commercial site. You Called this spam. Also on the Pages for "Condoms" content was added on Lambskin condoms and Non-Oxynol-9 Spermicide. User "JohnnyTampa" has had a major, national role in banning these products.
Again you must feel that WIKI is only for your commercial purposes and content added by your competitors and linked accordingly is "SPAM" and not allowed. This seems to be very contradictory.
Everyone knows that these links from both of you are designed to gain Google Page Rank. There is no other reason for either of you to waste your time on this!!
FURTHERMORE. Leaving comments such these below to GrandMasterSka (which are archived on Wikipedia) are legally defined as Libel..
"At that time JohnnyTampa had nothing short of a psychotic breakdown and looked up my contact information on the internet, and began calling me with threatening messages and emailing me. In his email he threatened to sue me for removing his spam."
"I guess he's back from whatever mental ward he was housed in for the last month, because he's back now attempting to remove any content that I've added to wikipedia over the last year."
These Accusations can destroy a man's credibility and reputation.. Looks like these "Threats" of a lawsuit have now been substantiated .. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Macuser77 (talk • contribs) 03:11, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Condom
Howdy, I have observed the issues you are having on Condom. I am forced to agree with Macuser77 (talk · contribs) that those refs are inappropriate for Wikipedia. See WP:EL#Links_normally_to_be_avoided number 5. Additionally if you are affiliated with the website, it is also inappropriate to link to it on those grounds alone. I will certainly take a look at the civility issues, but I would ask you not to add the links back (although feel free to discuss it on the talk page, Talk:Condom, if you wish). For the record, Wikipedia uses nofollow tags so the links do not generally alter search engine rankings. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks, --TeaDrinker 03:55, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Your recent edits
Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 04:08, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Connfused? I Am
Telephone threats? Threatening emails?? What the heck are you talking about? This whole thing is embarrassing to me. Why cry over spilled milk?
Again the whole issues is that WIKI is not here for your commercial benefit or the commercial benefit of "JohnnyTampa" or the commercial benefit of "me" or the commercial benefit of "any other user". This whole thing is getting way out of control.
How many names have to be dragged through the mudd so your links to your Condom Store can stay on WIKI?
Maybe we should add one "Online Condom Retailers" section and add every online retailer??? Would that settle this? Mods??
Again it looks like someone in this fiasco was greedy and resorted to banning users. None of this would happen if people could learn to share.
PS- My role is now that I am removing spam from anyone that adds it to Human Sexuality Topics. Simple as that. All this linking makes "web e-tailers" look like Educators and Doctors.. If they are such, links to their professional sites NOT e-retail stores should be permitted. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Macuser77 (talk • contribs) 04:35, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
I just wanted to drop a line and tell you that I restored an edit that you made to the article Safe sex. Your edit summary stated taht you were removing spam, but the edit did not appear to be spam. I have restored this content, and figure it was a msitake on your part. If I am in error, please accept my apologies. LonelyBeacon 05:09, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Commercial links to condomman.com from article: Durex
I've removed your links to the site condomman.com in article Durex. Perhaps you overlooked them in your cleanup? Also, I don't quite know what's going on with you and macuser77, but suffice it to say every wikipedian would be well advised to steer clear of inserting commercial links and creating personal wars. Please reply here if you wish. I'm on a dynamic IP, so replies to "my" talk page may not be seen by me. --67.188.151.184 10:12, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
Not sure who you are, it would be helpful if you would log in before making edits. But yes it appears I did miss that edit in my cleanup. Much appreciated for your help.Superkevbo 00:40, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
