[edit] WP:FU

Your changes to Mila Kunis have been reverted. You replaced an existing freely-licensed image with one which was not sourced or licensed but is actually a screenshot from a film. Only freely-licensed images may be used to depict living people. Please see WP:FU so you can understand our image fair-use policy. --Yamla 20:55, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Morgan-webb-picture-1.JPG

Thank you for uploading Image:Morgan-webb-picture-1.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Yamla 20:57, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Hot Morgan.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Hot Morgan.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 20:57, 21 February 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Yamla 20:57, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

Based on your uploads for the Luigi Kart DS article, I think you should probably note the section on derivative works in the copyright FAQ. Dancter 21:01, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:FHM_morganwebb.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:FHM_morganwebb.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. [edit] Luigi Kart DS

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Luigi Kart DS, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Copy-and-paste moves violate the GFDL. If you are going to move a page, it must be done properly. Dlong 13:22, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

The page title is not the place for disclamatory parentheticals. Parentheticals are meant for disambiguation in the case of collision between articles with the same name. See Wikipedia:Naming conventions for more information. Dancter 18:48, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Ashley Tisdale photo

I have removed the photo from the Ashley Tisdale article. As a rule of thumb, any photo found on the Internet is likely held under copyright by somebody. As a result. unless the image can be proved to be free, it should not be included in the article. —C.Fred (talk) 15:59, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Potw 11.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Potw 11.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 01:16, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Please don't use potw 11.jpg until you straighten out the copyright

It's a nice picture, better than the one in the article, but shouldn't be used until you find out the copyright status and get the licensing information cleaned up. Kww 13:43, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

I was told in my last message to put it back, so i will do as instructed.SuperWiki5 13:45, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

Do you mean the notice from OrphanBot? It's just a program scanning for things. Here's what's happening. You uploaded this new image. It got tagged as not properly licensed, so it was removed from the Ashley Tisdale article. OrphanBot looks for images that aren't used in any article, and notifies the creator. Since the picture had been removed from the Ashley Tisdale article, OrphanBot notified you. Now, you have two choices: the easiest is to just let the image die. In a week or so, if you haven't updated the license information, the image you uploaded will be automatically deleted. The other choice is to determine the copyright holder, e-mail him, get permission to use the image, and put that permission into the image file. Once that his done, you can put it back in the Ashley Tisdale article. What you cannot do is continue to use the image without permission. Kww 13:55, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
You have continued to violate WP:FU after multiple warnings and after prior blocks. To protect Wikipedia against your blatant violations, you have been blocked for one week. Please consider this your last chance to start adhering to WP:FU. --Yamla 14:17, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Nintendo 64DD (Japanese Translation)

A tag has been placed on Nintendo 64DD (Japanese Translation), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a foreign language article that was copied and pasted from another Wikimedia project, or was transwikied out to another project. Please see Wikipedia:Translation to learn about requests for, and coordination of, translations from foreign-language Wikipedias into English.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit] May 2008

Hi, the recent edit you made to Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks. ukexpat (talk) 17:19, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

The recent edit you made to How now brown cow constitutes vandalism, and has been reverted. Please do not continue to vandalize pages; use the sandbox for testing. Thanks. —DerHexer (Talk) 17:27, 14 May 2008 (UTC))

Please do not vandalize pages, as you did with this edit to 2007–2008 Writers Guild of America strike. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. Soxred93 (u t) 17:29, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
