Redirects
Hey, just as a tip, to redirect one page to another, use #REDIRECT Page name. Remember that you can't redirect a page to another redirect, however. --Slowking Man 02:07, Nov 20, 2004 (UTC)
Not seeing anything on the talk page about any of these changes,
I'm about to revert the whole slew, unless you can explain...? Baylink 02:29, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC)
Question for you
You're not Scott Green from the J! boards, are you? --OntarioQuizzer 20:40, 6 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- I just try to get an idea of who else is contributing to the articles, see who I know from elsewhere and all...that's all :) --OntarioQuizzer 23:26, 6 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Schiavo Page: H. R. 1151
Why do you keep changing H. R. 1151 back to House Resolution 1151? I work for the House of Representatives, so I know that H. R. is not the abbreviation for House Resolution. The bill is listed as H. R. 1151 on Thomas, the Library of Congress website. Ericamick 17:37, 31 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Signature Template
Please subst your signature by adding subst: after the first two brackets. Oterwise, without the subst, it puts an unecessary load on the servers. Thanks! --AySz88^-^ 16:13, 4 December 2005 (UTC)
- Your sig has less code than mine! :p I think it'd be better to copy and paste the result of the substs (well, two substs) directly in the raw signature box - the strain on the servers probably isn't worth saving the space. --AySz88^-^ 16:41, 4 December 2005 (UTC)
- The problem seems to be the & in the URL in http://tools.wikimedia.de/~kate/cgi-bin/count_edits?dbname=enwiki&user=Super-Magician . Since that site is down, you might want to remove that link for now. After it comes back up, maybe try removing dbname=enwiki& and see if it'll default to the enwiki on its own. --AySz88^-^ 17:39, 4 December 2005 (UTC)
- Ah, found the problem. It turns out you're supposed to use & instead of &, even in URLs. Here's what you need (just copy and paste from here):
- -- Super-Magician (talk • contribs • count)

Templates
By repeated use of subst: , I have removed all templates from your user page. It is your user page so I will definately not enter into an edit war if you revert it. But I do suggest that you do not need any personal templates - look at the very limited number of precedents for personal templates.
As to your signature, I believe you are supposed to use My preferences / User profile / Nickname. Tick the "Raw signatures" box. Note the comment do not use templates. -- RHaworth 11:21, 5 December 2005 (UTC)
Template
The hurricane template looks fine to me. I'm not sure what could have caused it to be misaligned. Jdorje 16:01, 4 January 2006 (UTC)
- No. Tropical Storm Zeta looks fine to me, as do other hurricane articles. Jdorje 16:08, 4 January 2006 (UTC)
Re:Just to let you know
Oh wow! I didn't know that. Thanks for letting me know, I guess. Good catch. Hurricanehink 17:22, 4 January 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for updating it, but you don't have to continue if you don't want to. Hurricanehink 01:02, 5 January 2006 (UTC)
tcarticle
I'm not sure what you're trying to do but tcarticle seems overcomplicated. Is this supposed to correspond to tcseason? That one's pretty complicated too. In any case I think both should use the real basin name, i.e., "Atlantic hurricane", with both. If you have problems with a template try subst: with it on a sandbox page and see if it does what you expected. Jdorje 17:23, 7 January 2006 (UTC)
- But if it makes you have to remember all sorts of shortcuts for every different basin, it is not an improvement. Jdorje 18:11, 7 January 2006 (UTC)
