[edit] Original Research
This entire article appears to be original research, which is in contravention to wikipedia policy - WP:NOR. As well, it is written in the third-person - "we propose", "we identify", "we show" - which is not encyclopedic. barring objections, i'm going to nominate the article for deletion. - Despite all of the references having been published by the original author of the article, I do not believe this is original research. WP:NOR states that material that has been published by a reputable source is perfectly acceptable. I see that several of this user's research papers have been published in IEEE publications--a very notable and reputable organization. ~MDD4696 21:55, 7 January 2006 (UTC)

- quite true. i am focused more upon this particular qualification cited in WP:NOR:"If you have an idea that you think should become part of the corpus of knowledge that is Wikipedia, the best approach is to arrange to have your results published in a peer-reviewed journal or reputable news outlet, and then document your work in an appropriately non-partisan manner." (italics mine). In the case of this article, the body of the article has been written in essentially a partisan manner. "we propose" suggests that the article is forming a new idea - regardless of its having been published in a peer-reviewed journal - rather than documenting a theory for the reader. perhaps WP:NOR isn't the right issue ultimately. i'm happy to withdraw the request if i'm too off the mark. the biggest problem for me is that a fair bit of the article is too far outside of my expertise to be able to synthesize/rework the article with a more neutral voice, without risk of introducing errors. - The article is in line with other articles that fall under the "Wireless Networking" category -- and in particluar those listed under the article Ad_hoc_routing_protocol_list. As an example, check out Destination-Sequenced_Distance_Vector_routing, Hierarchical_state_routing, Optimized link state routing protocol, AODV and so on. If you insist on this discussion, it is probably better to move it to the whole category, instead of making it on a per-article basis. User:ichatz 04:31, 6 April 2006 (GMT+2)

All references are by one author, is this a reognized area of general reseach or is it the term used by one person? RJFJR (talk) 14:05, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
