Article Grading: The following comments were left by the quality and importance raters: (edit · history · refresh · how to use this template) This gene was important enough to be taught in my introductory undergraduate biology class. I believe it is of interest beyond the specialized domain of plant genetics because most people are familiar with flowers and recognize flower anatomy, and might therefore be interested in the genetic forces that control the development of those features.
