[edit] Windows PC?
This was a favorite game of mine, but I don't have any of the new systems... I can't seem to find information anywhere on the supposed Windows PC release, does anyone know the details on it? Das Unugunu 15:32, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
The official Capcom page does not list the Windows PC under supported platforms. I'm removing it from the article unless someone can prove otherwise.--Blitzvergnugen (talk) 03:15, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Suggestion
Add in how to get the secret characters! This is an awesome puzzle game. A classic! 71.250.68.129 18:45, 17 December 2005 (UTC)
- I was told that actual gameplay hints and tips like that should be avoided in articles since it should provide information for everyone's interest while something like that would only be of interest to those who play the game, and that they can look it up themselves.BlueArcher 21:23, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Missing Pics?
It looks like there's some pics missing, making the article look horrid. Anyone wanna fix it? ♫ Melodia Chaconne ♫ 02:56, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
The missing pics looked to be caused by a hicup on the Wiki-database. Seems to be cleared up. MrLeo 19:09, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Merge Discussion (SPF2T HD Remix)
The subject is Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, an as-of-yet unreleased port of this game to modern systems. According to the Joystiq site in the External Links, this new game is an update of SPF2T, with new features and updated graphics. However, the extent of the updates from the original arcade release is unclear, partly because this game hasn't been released yet. So this is a grey area as to whether the new game should be mentioned in this article or should have its own separate article.
Please add your Support or Oppose votes below to help us reach consensus on this issue. Support means that you SUPPORT merging HD Remix into this article, Oppose means you support having a separate article. — KieferSkunk (talk) — 22:41, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Votes
Oppose for now: After reading the Joystiq article, it appears that there are enough significant differences between HD Remix and the original version to warrant this game having its own article. If it were limited to just graphical updates (like many XBLA re-releases have been taking), I would support merging the two articles. But the article mentions significant gameplay changes and new features, including balancing tweaks and changes to the core of the game. We have a precedent for this sort of thing in Pac-Man vs. Ms. Pac-Man, and in Panel de Pon / Tetris Attack / Pokemon Puzzle League / Planet Puzzle League, etc. — KieferSkunk (talk) — 22:41, 31 July 2007 (UTC)- Support: There might be enough merits to the changes being made in the HD release to warrant its own article, but the current state of the HD article seems to fail notability, as noted below, and there's not enough unique information to form a substantial article right now. — KieferSkunk (talk) — 02:21, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
- Support. It may be true that there are more than visual touch-ups in the HD version, but I think that the article should at least be able to be unique to the original's. But on your comment, Ms. Pac-Man is extremely notable, and Pokémon Puzzle League is not considered a port or remake of the original games, while Planet Puzzle League has touch controls + online play + unique new modes. But on that note, I think I'm going to merge Tetris Attack and Panel de Pon, since they're one game with different skins really. - A Link to the Past (talk) 05:23, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
- Support. Again, unlike Ms. Pac-Man and the original Pac-Man, this is essentially an update along the lines of Street Fighter 2's multiple updates, with changes in gameplay and rebalancing. However, I'd advise against merging Tetris Attack with Panel de Pon, seeing as how despite being a purely graphical change, it was marketed as a completely different game, with the original not being available for purchase in the United States. They have always been treated as two separate games. DestradoZero 15:47, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
- Support. Nothing much to add beyond the above comments. The HD Remix can easily be a single paragraph here briefly describing the differences, release date, along with any media response. Marasmusine 19:02, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
- Support - Agree with everyone above. Maybe after the game is released and more information is available it can be split back into its own article. But in its current state it should be merged. (Guyinblack25 talk 18:00, 4 August 2007 (UTC))
*Support - Fair enough. The above is enough to change my mind from my previous opinion. on Tetris attack & panel de pon: The merged page should include all the information that the old page has. on panel de pon as well, ALTTP, I think merges should always be discussed before implementing. Especially if you don't move the content of the old page (which isn't trivial) to the new.BlueArcher 03:38, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
- you know what? i've lost/confused myself. BlueArcher 04:06, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
- Wrong. There was no previous stated opposition, so there was no reason to discuss beforehand. - A Link to the Past (talk) 18:15, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- According to WP:MERGE, if you have any reason to believe that such a merge might be controversial, it's usually best to bring up a discussion about it in Talk. Hard to know ahead of time in some cases. The same policy says that you can boldly perform the merge if you DON'T think there will be any controversy, but also that other editors can boldly undo the merge and start discussion if they disagree with it. Just clarifying. — KieferSkunk (talk) — 18:32, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- Wrong. There was no previous stated opposition, so there was no reason to discuss beforehand. - A Link to the Past (talk) 18:15, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
Oppose - This is a game unto its own right. JAF1970 04:28, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
- Support - Redirect the HD Remix to this page, and add a little section to make note of the differences, who made the port, release date, etc. That should definitely be enough. If the section becomes large, with much content, and warrants its own article, then you can seperate them. But I don't see that happening. PyroGamer 01:32, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose the merging I am not sure what the advantages of this would be since both articles are very long. --Felix the hurricane 1:47PM, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
- Most of the content in the HD version is the same as the regular version. It'd only be an extra paragraph about the HD version's release, reception, and enhancements. - A Link to the Past (talk) 19:42, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
- Support It's the same game, we should however add the release dates for XBL and PSN. — EliasAlucard|Talk 22:16 10 Sept, 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Controversy
There have been claims as ludicrous and mythical as the existence of unicorns pertaining to the reputation of an unnamed player having attained such lofty heights as a 21-chain. This is in need of verification. Little help?
As yet, a ten-chain is proven and possible, but only for ultra 1337, or "Leet" peeps.YouTube Ten Chain
