[edit] Do the films need separate articles?

The article on the description of Starman, the character and the series seems lengthy enough on its own. Should the films (that is, the four Americanized films) be broken off into separate articles with a link to this one? That way, separate film boxes and images could be provided for each film. If no one objects, I may do this in a week or two. -- Rizzleboffin 16:56, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

On second thought-- It's probably best to leave the 9 Japanese films here, with links to separate articles on the four Americanized films. That way info on the Japanese versions can stay at this page, and info on the American versions can presented in the other articles. Again, if no one objects, I'll start this in a week or two. -- Rizzleboffin 17:01, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] "Super Giant" vs. "Super Giants"

OK, currently the article has some discussion about how the Japanese literally translates to "Super Giants", not "Super Giant", and how "it is said that some fans in Japan" think this is to reference the Japanese baseball team. There's one little problem with this scenario, though: Japanese nouns don't change their form to become plural. To my knowledge, "Super Giant" and "Super Giants" would both be the same thing in Japanese, so whose authority do we have it on that the "literal" translation would be "Giants" despite it referring, obviously, to a single character? -- Antaeus Feldspar 21:11, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
