[edit] Deep Cove, BC

I believe that there is no such thing as a SuperValu in Deep Cove, BC, so I'm removing that from the article. Any evidence to the contrary would be surprising, to say the least. Anyone know if there used to be one? Dewert (talk) 20:00, 23 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] independent or not?

This article claims that supervalu is independent, the article on Loblaws says that supervalu is a regional banner of Loblaws. Is this a contradiction?--24.86.252.26 05:17, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Independent to a Point

My understanding is that Super Valu stores in Canada are independently owned and operated franchise outlets overseen by Loblaw, as is evidenced by the "official" website, which is actually just a site which refers to three stores owned by one family. Loblaw does not maintain a site for Super Valu. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.81.85.249 (talk) 07:12, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

  • The connection to Loblaws definitely needs to be clarified. Do they have the President's Choice brand? Any experts out there? 209.105.207.181 (talk) 07:52, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

  • The Davie Street Super Valu website has scans of the current flyer up, and you'll see President's Choice and No Name products featured pretty prominently in that flyer.

In addition, Loblaws' annual report does make mention of the Super Valu chain being in its fold. See the Loblaw Companies website http://www.loblaw.ca/en/lcl_ar06e/bus_stores.html 205.250.144.123 (talk) 06:36, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
