Talk:SuperCamp

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I attended SuperCamp in Singapore a few years ago, and it was FANTASTIC! I wasn't keen to go at first, but my parents insisted that I go. I expected it to be 10 days of dull academic sessions, but it was absolutely nothing like that. Within a few hours of the first day, I realised it was going to be one of the most fun and amazing experiences I'd ever had. Part of the camp was learning new academic skills. The academic sessions were fun and energetic, and nothing like anything I've ever experienced in school. I learned quick and easy memory techniques, speed reading, brain-friendly note-taking methods, good ways to plan and structure my time, information about my own personal learning style, and ways to write faster and more creatively. After camp, these skills helped me to cut my study time and raise my grades in school considerably. The camp also taught me very valuable life skills that helped me communicate better, think more creatively, solve problems, and set and achieve clear goals. One of the highlights of the camp was the Outdoor Adventure Day, when a professional ropes course company came in to help run a series of events. I learned that my mind has a lot of power and, individually or working in a team, I can achieve anything I focus on in the right way. Many of my closest friends today are people I met at the camp. I can truly say that SuperCamp was 10 of the best days of my life. 192.169.41.37 13 May 2006

SuperCamp is way cool. The 10 days I spent at the camp in Stanford last year were the best 10 days of my life - without a doubt. I'm planning to go again this year. Josh1988 18:34, 20 May 2006 (UTC)

It was the most wasted 2.5K dollars I've ever seen spent. The "strategies" they teach are all already taught in most decent public schools, and the only thing different about this company is that they teach the same thing with loud rap music in the background, hand motions attached to everything, and extensive cheering over little things.
