Supreme Military Council

The Supreme Military Council was an ad hoc political party established in Ghana after a coup, lasting from 1975 to 1979. It consisted of two parts - SMC I and SMC II - that lasted in power, after which they were removed by another coup led by Flight Lieutenant Jerry Rawlings.
