Supreme Court of Newfoundland (Court of Appeal)

In the Canadian province Newfoundland and Labrador, the Court of Appeal is at the top of the hierarchy of courts for the province (other than the Supreme Court of Canada). Legally, the Court of Appeal is the appeal division of The Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador.
The Court hears appeals of all type from the Supreme Court (Trial Division), the Unified Family Court, Provincial Court and a number of boards and tribunals.
The court derives its powers and jurisdiction from the Judicature Act.
