Supporting Leading Edge
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Supporting Leading Edge (or SLE) is a term mainly associated with a Power Kite. It refers to a new style of kite design where the old style 'C Shape' Leading Edge has been replaced by a Mylar laminate and much bigger Spars. This allows much more power to be gained from a kite thus being able to use a smaller more manageable kite without loosing any power.
