Supersilent is a Norwegian avant-garde/free electro/experimental jazz improv group on the Rune Grammofon label.

Their debut release was a three CD box set of rugged and harsh improvisational pieces and was simply titled 1-3. Albums 4 and 5, released soon afterward, were more rhythmic. The next album 6, was their best known and most critically acclaimed. Their next release, 7, is a DVD showcasing Supersilent live. 8, their next studio album was released on 17 September 2007 to rave reviews.

The band reportedly does not communicate with each other about their music outside of improvised live sets and studio sessions.

Members of the group are Arve Henriksen, an accomplished trumpet player, Helge Sten (aka Deathprod) who handles electronic equipment, synthetic sounds and guitar, Ståle Storløkken on keyboards and Jarle Vespestad on drums.
