[edit] Different Versions
The song was first written when Kalnoky was in his teens, for his original band, Gimp. The song has appeared on the Gimp EP, Smiles for Macavity, the Catch 22 demo EP Rules of the Game, the debut Catch 22 album (which Kalnoky was also a former member of) Keasbey Nights, and the Streetlight Manifesto remake of Keasby Nights. In its original form, it is played as a slow, song, utilizing soft acoustic strumming with a violin solo performed by Kalnoky's brother, Achilles (who also played violin in Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution). In its second form, on Keasbey Nights, it is much faster, with a full ska band, including trombone, trumpet, and saxophone. A similar form is also used on the Streetlight Manifesto version of the song.
