Supernatural Researches (搜神記 "Sou shên chi" or "Sou shen ji") is a book of supernatural stories written and compiled by Chinese author Kan Pao/Gan Bao (fl. 315) (sometimes wrongly referred to as Yü Pao) in 350 AD, a historian at the court of Emperor Yuan of Eastern Jin. Pu Songling cites Kan Pao's work as a far greater work than his own, the now famous Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio .
