[edit] Ride description
The ride is themed to Superman and features an indoor launch, a top hat, camel humps and many banked turns. Riders get into the "Metropolis Rapid Transit (MRT)" cars and set off through the Metropolis Station, experiencing heavy tremors. Riders pass through various chambers where the damage of the tremors are evident, including one where simulated floodwater is pouring in fast and another chamber where cars falling in from above ground are shown.
At the end of the pre-ride segment, "It's Superman!" can be heard, followed by Superman saying, "Don't worry folks, there's only one way out of this mess! heads back, I'll push you out of here. Fast. Superman fast."
The high-speed roller coaster segment then begins, as riders are hydraulically catapulted up the first and highest slope, experiencing 4.2 g-forces (41 m/s²) at this point. This is followed by a drop, where negative g is experienced. The rest of the ride consists of the above-mentioned features, followed by a stop after around a minute. Riders are sent off with "Thanks to Superman, you have all survived, please exit to your right as photographs of your terrifying experience are just inside the door, have a great day!"
There are 18 hydraulic turbines that spin the winch drum, the whole launching system can produce up to 20,800 horsepower (15.5 MW).
