Super Trucks Racing is a truck racing game for the PlayStation 2. The style of the trucks and the flow of the game is considered to be very dissimilar to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. All drivers and sponsor information are based on 2002 season of the Super Trucks racing series[2].
These specialized trucks are eighteen wheelers that are modified for racing on road courses; a large majority of these courses are located in Europe. Formula One-like physics and turning dominate the tracks. Darlington Raceway is considered to be one of the few North American courses in the game. However, it uses right as well as left turns like a road course instead of the standard oval used for NASCAR Sprint Cup Series racing. All the real-world drivers that are in the game are European in origin.[3]
This game is usually sold in multiple game bundles and can be found at most Wal-Mart stores in Canada as well as in the United States of America. Unlike most PlayStation 2 games, the bottom of the CD-ROM has a dark blue tint; most PlayStation 2 games have a normal CD-ROM/DVD-ROM tint to the bottom of the compact disc. The only known glitch is that the game can freeze up at any time except during menus. In the United Kingdom, this game is known as Super Trucks.
