Super Trucks
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Super Trucks are modified eighteen wheelers that are raced on road courses in Europe as well as in North America. The 2002 season of Super Trucks racing is immortalized in the PlayStation 2 video game Super Trucks Racing. The difference between the "super trucks" and the trucks used in NASCAR's Craftsman Truck Series is that the "super trucks" are larger and slower than stock trucks. However, they come with many features that regular eighteen-wheelers have on the highway like cooling brakes and water. All competitors in the Super Trucks league are European. The turns on a typical Super Trucks race resemble that of Formula One. Like Formula One and Gran Turismo racing, rain does not affect Super Trucks racing.
